First impressions during the test ride

During our test sessions the board felt very controlled and predictable from the moment we stepped on it. Acceleration is progressive, allowing riders to gradually lift onto the foil without sudden bursts of power. Once the foil lifts the board above the water, the sensation is incredibly smooth. The Audi e-tron foil glides quietly above the surface, giving the rider the feeling of flying rather than riding. The throttle response is also very consistent. Adjusting speed or maintaining a stable flying height becomes intuitive after just a few minutes on the water. One of the strongest aspects of the board is stability. Even riders who are new to electric foil surfing will feel comfortable after a short learning period.

For riders who already have some experience with foil boards, surfing or wakeboarding, the Performance model quickly becomes the most enjoyable option.

Competition model – for advanced riders

The Competition board is the smallest version in the Audi e-tron foil range. With significantly less volume, it is designed for experienced riders who want maximum responsiveness. The smaller size allows faster carving and more aggressive riding styles. However, beginners may find it challenging during take-off because it requires more precise balance.

Advanced foilers will appreciate the direct feeling and sporty character of this board.

Performance and riding experience

All Audi e-tron foil models share the same core technology, including the electric propulsion system and battery setup. The board can reach speeds of around 50 km/h, while typical riding sessions can last up to 1.5–2 hours depending on riding style.
